DATES BALL / DATES LADDU

GO NUTS WITH DATES 😉

It is one good shot of all nutrients especially attractive to the kids. I have used almonds and cashews. You can use dry fruits/any nuts of your choice. This recipe is free from unhealthy refined sugar or oil. 
Dates laddu with nuts

Ingredients:

Dates – 1 pack (seeded/unseeded)
Cashews – as needed
Almonds – as needed

Instructions:

1)    De-seed the dates and soak it in a small quantity of warm water for 20 mins. (This will make it easier to grind with mixer).2)      Cut the almonds & cashews into small pieces and keep it aside.3)      Drain the water from dates. Put it into the mixer and grind it.4)      Heat the ground dates in a pan for 3 to 5  mins till the consistency is solid enough to make it into balls and let it cool.5)      Take a small quantity of dates and insert a pinch or two of nuts mixture into it and make it into balls.

  You can also mix the nuts mixture into dates paste and eat it like halwa.
